To celebrate its 20th anniversary, a new edition of Now We Are Sixty was published on October 10th 2019 by John Murray.  Several of the poems have been tweaked in order to bring them up to date and the poem on the back of the jacket is different, as is the introduction.  Otherwise the book is just as it has been since publication in 1999.  This will be its 53rd printing and with its sequel, Now We Are Sixty (and a Bit), the book has currently sold nearly a million copies.

Also, on November 1st, Abacus brought out a collection of my most recent books of comic verse - The Man Who Dropped the Le Creuset on his Toe, Dog Treats and A Bus Pass Named Desire - in a single volume entitled A Triple-Decker Treat: Collected Poems for Old Dogs and Young Hearts.

Meanwhile, my wry, thoughtful and largely light-hearted guide to life in the last lane, The Old Man and the Knee, is now in paperback, also from Abacus.
